Care Pack Campaign

Bringing Comfort Beyond Medical Care

The Care Pack Campaign is a student-led community initiative dedicated to bringing comfort and encouragement to pediatric cancer patients. I founded this initiative after recognizing the emotional challenges many children face during extended hospital stays, focusing on providing thoughtfully assembled care packages that offer moments of comfort, creativity, and connection throughout treatment.

Working in partnership with C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, each care package is delivered during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month to help brighten the experiences of children and families navigating cancer treatment.

Thoughtfully Designed Care Packages

Every care package is intentionally assembled to be both engaging and hospital-friendly. Rather than simply collecting donated items, each package is carefully curated with products selected to provide comfort, encourage creativity, and make long days in the hospital a little brighter.

Some items found in each care package:

  • A special engraved backpack

  • LEGO sets

  • A soft blanket

  • Stuffed animals

  • A special plush toy

  • Activity book + coloring supplies

  • Stickers and comfort items

  • Cozy grip socks

  • Fidget toys

  • Additional items selected from patient wish lists

  • A personalized & handwritten note

Community Impact

The Care Pack Campaign has grown from a school club into an ongoing community initiative supported and led by students, volunteers, and local partners. Through collaboration and service, our project continues expanding its reach while remaining focused on its original mission: providing meaningful support to children facing some of life's most difficult moments.

Looking Ahead

The Care Pack Campaign continues to explore opportunities to expand its impact through new partnerships, additional care package distributions, and increased community involvement. While every package contains activities and comfort items, its greatest purpose is simple: to remind every child receiving one that they are supported, cared for, and never facing their journey alone.
